About
I'm a data scientist and machine learning practitioner with a BSc in mechanical engineering.
The engineering background is why I tend to start from the measurement rather than the model: what was actually counted, by whom, and what the number stops meaning at the edges. Most of what I build is applied — public and civic datasets, visualizations that have to survive someone disagreeing with them, and the pipelines underneath.
What I care about
- Responsible development and use of ML models and applications.
- Social-good work and volunteering, including hackathons and data dives.
- Analysis that is reproducible by someone who isn't me.
